It seems that ill be in Chicago for a long weekend at the end of April to visit Nick. Gonna try and make it down to Indy for a day or two. Lucky me.
My god school is junk! Like i'll really be able to perform well on tests when my sleep schedule has been reduced to two, three hour naps each night. From 6-9pm and 4-7am. This has been going on for 4 days now and its really making me a bit loopy.
The moon has an erie pink glow tonight. |

I just can't get enough of Lil' Wayne these days.
In other news, for this student club that Im a part of, my friend Sara and I organized this photo exhibit next week at the fancy fancy Gladstone Hotel. It should be a solid event and if anyone actually reads you'd be a fool to miss it.

STUPID STUPID. This morning I washed my Ipod and put it through the dryer. It seems to be working for now...kinda. Maybe, i should just sell it. I mean it already got ran over by a minivan in February. Maybe im subconsciously putting it in harms way.
I need to take a trip. I was planning on going to chicago for a weekend in April, but really anywhere would be good.
Seems as though the Namibia internship didnt pan out, i could really go on a rant on this, but ill hold back. So, instead i found a few organizations in Uganda that look promising. And as it looks now ill be spending half the summer in summer school aka high school and hopefully the other half saving babies somewhere in Africa. |

Sunrise at summit of Bac Ma, Bac Ma National Park, Viet
Nam. The profs rudely awakened us one moring at 4, and
forced us to hike 3 miles to the summit. It was grueling, but
worth it.
Summer party at Apothacary, Mike Stoan seems to always be drinking.

Crazy Kim, Nancy, me. I had fun traveling with Nancy, but I kinda
ditched her in Saigon after a month. Krazy Kim owns a bar and runs a
NFP org. which aims to stop the child sex trade in Viet Nam. And she
was definitely Krazy, with a K.
Drinkin' with Juice and Mike- some of the best people I've met while in Toronto.

Tying up garbage. Sunday market, Bangkok.
 Guk
or Juuk, something on those lines. This fruit is the main reason why I
went to Viet Nam. I saw it in Scent of the Green Papaya before i left,
and had to experience it in real life. At the market none of the
vendors would sell it to me because they claimed it tasted bad. I
finally pursuaded one woman to sell it to me by paying twice the
original price. And as I was carrying it back to the hotel,
people on the street kept pointing and laughing at me. Finally a woman
selling phone cards on the street corner motioned me over and told me
that it's inedible and they use it to dye rice a bright orange for
celebrations. I had so much fun with this fruit and it was well worth
the search. The seeds kind of resemble kidneys and are covered by a
slimey blood colored flesh . AND it smells like pumpkin.

Aquarium fish for sale. Sunday Market, Bankok.

Wow, time goes so quickly. What happened to February?
I went with Stephen last night to the Harlem Gospel Choir. It was probably the best concert that ive been to for quite awhile. Im not religious, but singing about god and jesus in that way is uplifting and inspirational. I could tolerate attending a church that celebrates life through music and dancing. By the end of the concert i felt amazing, could it be the power of christ or simply the energy of the crowd and performers?
I thought i had lost all my images from my winter break trip, but they were strangely hidden deep within a Ray Charles music folder. Going home is always nice. On the surface all my friends have changed drastically, but in the end we are all the same gang of goofy kids. There's always a wonderful comfort level with friends from high school. I think i've only found a few friends that i can say that about here in Canadia.

John Roudebush, Kentucky, New Years Day
 Noah Dock, Indianapolis
 Ms. Joanna Lundberg, Indianapolis
Asheville, NC. A lovely place to spend the night.

So I was looking around at the gym thinking to myself how stupid all these IPOD bitches look. Flaunting their $300+ musical gadgets on their waistline. Highlighting their ears with sterile white earphones. And obsessively gliding their fingers in circular motions to change tracks. And then i realized that I too had become what i loathe. i now own a mass storage device conceived by Apple. |

My trip home was wonderful. It gave me a better perspective regarding school, how long that will last i dont know. Seeing all my family and friends was great. A more detailed account will be posted soon.
Smells are very important:
Currently i can smell the pungent smell of feline litter wafting up from the flat below.
My boyfriend smells mildly like Hoison sauce in the early morning.
The smell of raw sea urchin roe reminds me of swallowing sea water at the beach. |

Upon closer inspection, we found a black Tracey Ullman livin' it up!
